Our VESL 2025–2026 Esports Playbook is a guide for the Fall 2025–Spring 2026 esports season: how the league runs, expectations, and where to find key resources.

Eligibility

Requirements

Students: must be registered on The NotWork & verified by the Teacher Liaison to participate in esports events, including games and open tournaments.

Warning: Teams must meet roster minimums to compete each week. Subs are recommended, but not required.

Platform

How to Join:
Once you have registered on The NotWork and have been verified by a teacher, you will be sent an email with your exclusive VESL LeagueOS invite link.

When to Expect:
Invites are sent out once a day to newly verified students.
Check your email for communications from VESL Ops staff.

League Structure

Format

Two splits across the school year (Fall & Spring)
Tiered play (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3) to match skill and program age
League operations and match communication via LeagueOS

Season Info

Timeline

Tryouts: Sept 15th - 26th
Preseason: Oct 6th - 10th
Split 1 / "Regular Season": Oct 12th - Nov 21st
LCQ: Nov 22nd - 23rd
Playoffs: Dec 1st - 13th

Game start times will be between 6pm - 8pm for the school teams that play from home. Schools that play at their school campuses will have adjusted schedules to accomodate this as best as possible.

Wednesday: Valorant
Thursday: Rocket League

College Football 26 will be held over 3 weeks as a tournament-style event. Top performers will be invited to State Championships in the spring.
